Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an experienced structural engineer to lead design and analysis of launch vehicle upper-stage structures. You will collaborate with manufacturing to ensure integration of metallic and composite components, performing FEM and hand calculations to validate load paths and safety margins.

Role requires 7+ years in aerospace structures, Creo CAD expertise, and hands-on production support to optimize manufacturability and alignment with program goals. U.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering and 7+ years of related experience

Responsibilities

• Design and analysis of primary and secondary structures, including composites and metallic parts
• Coordinate with subsystem teams on structural interfaces
• Provide on-site manufacturing and production support
• Ensure production quality and disposition hardware nonconformances
• Support configuration development and trade studies
• Perform analysis reviews for designers and junior analysts in stress/ stability/ fracture
• Develop and improve enterprise analysis capabilities and automation tools
• Maintain activity schedule, budget and technical status
• Mentor junior engineers
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
