Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an experienced structural engineer to lead the design of primary and secondary structures for aerospace hardware. You will define configurations, assess load paths, and ensure assemblies meet performance and mission requirements.

Responsibilities include creating 3D models, drawings, ICDs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to balance performance, producibility, and cost while advancing packaging and tooling for spaceflight hardware.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering and 8+ years in aerospace/launch vehicle structures.
• Experience with metallic components, load paths, and first-order sizing.
• Strong 3D CAD design skills; GD&T ASME Y14.5; US citizenship or eligible status.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of primary and secondary structures including metallic parts and composites.
• Define overall structural configuration, load paths, interfaces to meet performance and mission needs.
• Create and maintain 3D models, detail drawings, assemblies, and ICDs.
