Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking a Senior Electrical Power Systems Engineer to help shape the future of lunar technologies and missions. You will define end-to-end mission concepts for NASA, government, and commercial customers, directly influencing the architectures powering our next generation of lunar landers, surface systems, and spacecraft.

This role is based in Pittsburgh, PA and can be onsite or remote, offering opportunities to translate customer requirements into actionable product goals

Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering or related discipline with 10+ years of experience.
• Experience in space system development, systems engineering, structure/thermal design and analysis, avionics, power systems, propulsion, orbital mechanics, electrical systems, mechanical & fluid systems, software & controls, modeling & simulation, and/or manufacturing.
• Experience developing technical content for proposals and external customer presentations.
• Experience authoring and decomposing mission and system-level requirements.
• Strong understanding of the launch, space, and lunar environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review concepts for lunar landers, rovers, surface power systems, and spacecraft.
• Support development and technical content creation for opportunities and proposals.
• Develop the system-level technical vision for new products—connecting customer needs with feasible, high-performing solutions across hardware and software domains.
• Develop and perform trade studies to support technical, business, and/or programmatic actions and decision-making.
• Perform power and avionics design and analysis for all mission concepts, right-sizing the power architecture to meet end-to-end mission objectives and requirements.
• Contribute to programmatic topics such as schedules, resourcing, and budgets estimations.
• Communicate with other engineering disciplines, partners, customers, and vendors to resolve technical risks and challenges.
• Occasionally participate in visits and technical interchange meetings with customer and partner organizations.
• Translate abstract customer requirements into actionable product goals and system architectures that can be presented to customers, utilized in proposals, and marketed to stakeholders.
• Participate in cross functional team meetings to ensure engineering solutions comply with mission and business needs and company technology roadmap.
