Job summary

Voyager Technologies seeks a Senior Mission Concept Engineer to shape lunar technologies and missions. You will define end-to-end mission concepts for NASA, government, and commercial customers, influencing architectures for next-gen lunar landers and surface systems.

This role is based in Pittsburgh, PA and can be onsite or remote, with responsibilities spanning concept definition, trade studies, and cross-functional collaboration to meet mission goals.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering plus 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience in space system development, systems engineering, or related areas such as structure/thermal design or spacecraft.
• Experience authoring technical content for proposals and external customer presentations.
• Eligibility to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review lunar lander, rover, surface power systems, and spacecraft concepts.
• Support technical content creation for mission opportunities and internal programs.
• Perform trade studies to support technical, business, and programmatic decisions.
• Conduct thermal design and analysis to meet mission objectives.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable product goals and system architectures.
