Job summary
Blue Origin is seeking an experienced avionics hardware engineer in Washington to develop boards and assemblies for spaceflight systems. You will manage the full product lifecycle from concept to production release, including verification and validation, exploring power electronics, compute, and sensors in a safety-conscious program.
You will apply leadership, technical communication, and hands-on design skills to deliver low‑risk, high‑reliability avionics hardware for a reusable launch vehicle
Qualifications
- 5+ years in electronics hardware development.
- Experience with high power/high voltage DC-DC converters and protection.
- Proficient in circuit simulation tools LTspice, PSpice, SIMetrix.
- Knowledge of Si, GaN and SiC devices.
- Strong technical communication (written and verbal).
Responsibilities
- Develop avionics hardware (boards and assemblies).
- Cover full product lifecycle: concept, requirements, design, prototyping, verification, release.
- Develop boards interacting with avionics systems and test/verification.
- Support architecture trades studies and risk analyses.
- Participate in mission assurance and safety initiatives.
