Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead on-site construction efforts for its Merritt Island operations. You will manage budgets, schedules, and quality across multi-project programs, coordinating with engineering, controls, and field teams.

The role requires 8+ years of relevant experience, OSHA, and strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to drive projects to successful completion in a fast-paced space environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of on-site project management, project coordination, facilities management, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Visio)
• Ability to walk around construction sites, climb stairs, and work in adverse weather
• Experience with Project Management Tools such as MS Project, P6 Primavera, PMWeb, Smartsheet, or similar
• Hands-on problem solving with a passion for spacecraft systems
• Self-starter with bias for action and ability to perform independently
• Attention to detail and high accuracy
• OSHA Certification; U.S. citizenship or eligible status

Responsibilities

• Planning, management direction, project completion, client satisfaction, and financial outcome of assigned construction projects
• Provide field oversight and assist with scheduling
• Negotiate contracts with GC and subcontractors
• Develop and manage all project documentation
• Ensure compliance with state and government regulations
• Manage multiple projects with proactive problem solving
• Monitor field staff performance and coordinate with PMs and Resident Engineers
• Develop schedules, budgets, and phasing strategies
• Deliver progress reports, proposals, and presentations; analyze results
• Lead change management and contingency planning
• Oversee invoices and billing; represent company in meetings
• Build and grow business relationships vital to project success
