Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a seasoned Construction Project Manager on Merritt Island to lead complex facility construction programs from planning to completion. You will manage schedules, budgets, documentation, and multi-disciplinary teams while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will negotiate with contractors, coordinate with stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement in project delivery within a launch-site environment. This role emphasizes leadership, quality, and mission focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management.
• 8+ years of experience with complex facility construction/renovation projects.
• Experience leading small- to medium-sized teams integrating multiple subsystems.
• Strong personnel management and mentoring skills.
• Recent facility development/management experience supporting mission-critical operations.
• Experience in sub-contract management including RFPs, specs and SOWs.
• Project leadership with stakeholders, knowledge of manufacturing operations, Launch Site environment, assembly and quality control.
• Proficient in Milestones and MS Project.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong budget management and team leadership skills.
• Project planning, scheduling, and cost estimation.
• Strong safety mindset and hands-on hazardous operations planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide field oversight and develop a customized schedule.
• Negotiate contracts with General Contractors and subcontractors.
• Develop and manage all project documentation.
• Review compliance with state/government regulations and ensure site follows guidelines.
• Manage multiple projects while remaining innovative in challenging situations.
• Conduct site visits and monitor progress; hold regular status meetings.
• Ensure activities move according to pre-determined schedules.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, and required documentation.
• Manage changes in project scope and develop contingency plans.
• Approve invoices and manage billing process.
• Represent the company in project and client meetings.
• Lead projects from initiation to closing lifecycle, including plans, budgets, schedules, stakeholders, requirements, risks, and changes.
