Job summary

Skydio, the leading US drone company, seeks a Senior Manager, Solutions Engineering for the SLED Top 1200. Remote role with ~30% travel. You will lead a national team, shape demos and site assessments, and drive repeatable deployments for public sector programs from coast to coast.

Responsibilities include hiring and coaching engineers, aligning with Sales, and delivering measurable wins. Strong leadership, drone/Regulatory knowledge, and customer-facing excellence are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role (solutions engineering, field engineering, or applications engineering).
• 1+ year leading a technical team with hiring and mentorship responsibility.
• Strong drone technology and Public Safety sUAS operations knowledge.
• Ability to travel ~30% and lift up to 60 lbs.
• FAA Part 107 certificate or ability to obtain within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Hire, onboard, coach, and retain your team with clear ownership across territories.
• Set the bar for technical quality in demos, trial plans, site assessments, and customer-facing documentation.
• Own capacity and decide where SE time goes, making tradeoffs visible to leadership.
• Own the national technical win for Top 1200 and be the senior escalation point.
