Job summary

Skydio is seeking a senior Solutions Engineering leader to run the SLED Top 1200 program, with remote work and ~30% travel to support customer engagements, deployments, and events.

The role reports to the Director, Solutions Engineering – SLED and focuses on turning field observations into scalable, repeatable pursuit designs, while partnering with Sales, Engineering and Product to drive technical wins and regional split readiness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role (solutions engineering, field engineering, or applications engineering).
• 1+ years leading a technical team, formal or as a technical lead.
• Strong understanding of drone technology, Public Safety sUAS operations, and regulatory compliance.
• Working knowledge of Public Safety technologies (CAD, VMS) and ability to lead integration discussions.
• Track record of hiring, onboarding, and developing technical people.
• Comfort operating inside a Sales organization, owning a quota and deal strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team with clear ownership across territories and develop people beyond their current role.
• Set the bar for technical quality in demos, trials, site assessments, and customer-facing docs.
• Own capacity and tradeoffs across the segment; allocate SE time effectively.
