Docker, Inc. is seeking a Principal Sales Engineer to own the technical side of conversations with US public sector clients, including DoW and Federal Civilian agencies. You will lead discovery, shape requirements, and drive AI governance and secure software supply chain discussions with agency stakeholders.

Role requires deep technical credibility with government customers, proven success in PoCs/PoVs, and ability to work with cross-functional teams to win competitive evaluations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technical pre-sales selling infrastructure software, developer tools, or security into large accounts.
• 3+ years selling into US Federal, with a record of technical wins in federal cycles.
• Strong knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Linux, and modern app architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery with agency offices and DevSecOps teams to understand AI governance, SBOMs, attestation, and compliance.
• Shape requirements early to align evaluation criteria with Docker’s value in governance and security.
• Design and execute PoCs/PoVs focused on policy, image integrity, SBOMs, and hardened base images for regulated workloads.
• Translate AI security capabilities into mission outcomes for CIOs, CISOs, and program leadership.
• Build relationships with technical champions across security, platform, and AI teams.
