Job summary

Cloudera is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer in the New York area to join our sales engineering team. You will own the technical sales process, design solutions, and demonstrate Cloudera technologies to business leaders and technical champions.

You'll partner with Account Managers, present roadmaps, and contribute to knowledge sharing across the company. The role rewards deep technical skills, customer empathy, and a passion for data-driven transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years in a pre-sales customer facing role in enterprise environments.
• Ability to create and deliver technical presentations and demos.
• Experience with Big Data, Data Warehousing or Relational Databases.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical sales process from intro meetings through post-sales activities.
• Support customers by uncovering new use cases for Cloudera technology.
• Design customer solutions using Cloudera technologies based on reference architectures.
• Demonstrate products to inspire customer decisions and drive sales.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to show value and close deals.
• Present product roadmaps and future visions to customers.
