Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Solutions Engineer to independently lead technical engagements for customers, owning discovery, solution design, and platform demonstrations.

You are a builder who can code, architect, and present—combining technical depth with customer-facing skills to drive Databricks adoption. You will own frontline customer relationships and work with your Account Executive to develop technical strategies that expand platform usage within Digital Native customers.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data engineering, solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, or hands-on consulting.
• Proficient in Python and SQL with production-quality code; live coding required.
• Experience designing data solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Spark/Delta Lake or equivalent distributed data systems.
• Experience leading technical customer conversations and architecture reviews.
• Familiarity with data engineering, ML, or SQL analytics domains.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and solution design for customer workloads.
• Build and deliver proofs-of-concept and live demos on the Databricks Platform.
• Own frontline technical relationships with customer engineers and data teams.
• Develop account-level technical strategies with the Account Executive.
• Demonstrate differentiation through hands-on demonstrations and architecture reviews.
