Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Solutions Engineer in the United States to independently lead technical engagements, own discovery, solution design, and platform demonstrations.

You will build PoCs and live demos, own frontline relationships with customer engineers, and collaborate with the Account Executive on strategies to expand platform usage. The role requires strong Python/SQL, hands-on cloud data experience, and excellent presentation skills.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data engineering, solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, or hands-on consulting.
• Proficient in Python and SQL with production-grade coding capabilities; live coding interview stage.
• Hands-on experience designing data solutions on AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Working knowledge of Spark/Delta Lake/Hadoop/Kafka or Flink.
• Experience leading technical customer conversations—discovery, whiteboarding, architecture reviews.
• Familiarity with data engineering, ML, or SQL analytics.
• Strong presentation and demo skills for live solution delivery.
• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical engagements for customers, owning discovery, design, and platform demos.
• Build and deliver proofs-of-concept and live demos to drive technical wins.
• Own frontline technical relationships with customer engineers and data teams.
• Develop account-level technical strategies with the Account Executive to grow platform usage.
• Articulate differentiators through hands-on demonstrations in competitive contexts.
• Contribute reusable assets to the solutions architect community.
