Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Engineer to independently lead technical engagements, owning discovery, solution design, and platform demonstrations. You will build and present proofs-of-concept, own frontline customer relationships, and collaborate with the Account Executive to expand Databricks adoption across data engineering, analytics, and ML workloads.

The role requires 4+ years in data engineering or related fields, strong Python/SQL, and hands-on cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data engineering, solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, or a hands-on consulting role.
• Proficient in Python and SQL with ability to debug, optimize, and write production-quality code; live coding required.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing data solutions on at least one public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with data engineering (ETL/ELT, medallion architecture, streaming), data science/ML (model training, MLOps), or SQL analytics.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead technical discovery and solution design for customer workloads across data engineering, analytics, and ML.
• Build and deliver proofs-of-concept and live demos on the Databricks Platform to drive technical wins.
• Own frontline technical relationships with customer engineers, data teams, and technical leads.
• Develop account-level technical strategies with the Account Executive to grow platform consumption.
