Job summary

Databricks seeks a Sr. Solutions Engineer to partner with customers in designing scalable data architectures using Databricks technology and services.

You will engage with customers’ technical leads, architects, engineers, and operations teams to establish yourself as a trusted advisor and drive tangible outcomes across the sales lifecycle. You will work with Account Executives to develop strategies, present reference architectures and demos, and validate integrations with cloud services.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a customer‑facing pre‑sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
• Experience translating a customer's business needs to technology solutions and establishing buy‑in.
• Fluent in SQL and database technology.
• Debug and development experience in Python, Scala, Java, or R.
• Travel to customers in your region up to 30% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Develop account strategies with Sales to grow platform usage.
• Establish Databricks Lakehouse as standard data architecture for customers.
• Build and present reference architectures and demo apps for prospects.
• Capture technical wins by consulting on big data architectures and pipelines.
• Promote Databricks open‑source projects across developer communities.
