Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Solutions Engineer to partner with customers to design scalable data architectures using Databricks technology and services across the sales lifecycle.

You will work with customer technical leads, including architects, engineers, and operations teams, to establish yourself as a trusted advisor and drive tangible outcomes. Travel up to 50% to customer sites in your region is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales or technical architecture role.
• Experience translating business needs to technology solutions and gaining buy-in at all levels.
• Fluent in SQL and database technology.
• Development experience in Python, Scala, Java, or R.
• Travel to customers in your region up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales and other stakeholders to develop account strategies and grow platform usage.
• Establish Databricks Lakehouse architecture as the standard data architecture for customers.
• Build and present reference architectures and demos to help customers understand Databricks value.
• Capture technical wins by advising on big data architectures and data pipelines; validate integrations with cloud services.
