Job summary

Evergreen Goodwill of Northwest Washington is seeking a Sr. Solutions Engineer to own a domain of critical systems across 26 locations, focusing on platforms, integrations, and automations that keep a nonprofit running.

This internal-facing role grants authority to design and enforce standards within the domain, including AI-powered features, reliability, and vendor collaboration, while partnering with business units to translate needs into robust technology.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in solution engineering, systems integration, business systems, or software engineering.
• Evidence you set technical practice that other engineers followed — configuration standards, integration patterns, release discipline, or review practice adopted by people who did not report to you.
• Current hands-on development. Read code, write production code, and participate in design reviews.
• Ownership of a production codebase or internally built service, including incident history.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and forward plan for a domain of business-critical systems.
• Own the integrations between your domain and the rest of the enterprise estate — finance, workforce, inventory, and reporting.
• Own configuration standards, release practice, and operational handoff for your domain.
