Job summary

Commence, a Virginia Beach-based health IT innovator, seeks a Senior Solution Architect to lead end-to-end data-centric architecture for federal health programs. You will design, configure, and troubleshoot solutions while partnering with customers to translate technical vision into actionable implementations.

You will guide PoCs and pilots, support RFIs/RFPs, and ensure alignment with platform standards, security, and delivery timelines in a remote-capable environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field required.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience leading complex data pipeline/cloud/enterprise architectures.
• Proven ability to translate technical vision for stakeholders.
• Security governance experience with PHI/PII.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical solution design for assigned programs, including data-driven and enterprise information systems architecture.
• Work directly with customers to translate technical vision to stakeholders.
• Hands-on implementer, building, configuring, and troubleshooting with delivery engineers.
• Lead and support customer-facing proofs of concept and pilots, translating platform capability into business value.
• Support input for RFIs, RFPs, and other responses with technical feasibility and gaps.
• Ensure solutions are achievable within platform architecture and delivery constraints.
• Own complex technology implementations with emphasis on simplification and reduction of complexity.
• Design across data and cloud architectures to support federal health IT programs (claims, quality, data exchange).
• Align architecture decisions with Commence Platform standards.
• Partner with delivery managers, BAs, data architects, security, and leadership to meet compliance and timelines.
