Job summary

Motorola Solutions is hiring a Solutions Architect in Salt Lake City to integrate complex, security-cleared public safety deployments. You will collaborate with project managers, application specialists, and engineers to design, validate, and deploy technical solutions across the Command Center suite.

The position requires a technical degree or equivalent experience, strong presentation skills, fluent English, and willingness to travel about 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Associate's Degree in a technical/engineering field with 6+ years of technical experience, OR 8+ years delivering public safety projects in a technical role.
• Excellent presentation skills with diagramming tools (e.g., MS Visio or similar).
• Strong verbal and written communication; fluency in English.
• Willing to travel, approximately 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Understand requirements, concepts of operation, and architecture of the overall solution; collaborate with Pre and Post-Sales teams.
• Lead and defend the project's technical and programmatic decisions; address expectation mismatches with the Project Manager.
• Tailor change management and systems engineering processes; coordinate with customer and engineering teams for solution deployment including third-party apps.
• Assist Project Management in cost and schedule development by identifying technical risks and mitigations.
• Serve as the technical counterpart to the Project Manager in meetings with third parties, customers, and internal teams.
