Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead pre-sales efforts for the Data Intelligence Platform. You will engage customers, design architectures, and guide implementations to achieve measurable business outcomes across cloud services and open-source technologies.

You will collaborate with sales, product, and post-sales teams, travel to client sites, and mentor others while promoting Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and Unity Catalog within developer communities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales or consulting role with big-data focus.
• Experience designing distributed data systems and architectures.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, SQL, Scala, Java, or R.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to demonstrate how Databricks solves business problems.
• Provide technical leadership to evaluate and adopt Databricks for customers.
• Consult on big-data architecture and validate integrations with cloud services and third-party apps.
• Build and present reference architectures, how-tos, and demos for customers.
