Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect for the East Coast with 8+ years in customer-facing roles. You will design data architectures using Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow, align business needs with the Databricks platform, and guide customers through implementation to deliver measurable outcomes.

You will partner with sales, provide technical leadership, build reference architectures, promote open source projects, and travel within your territory.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales or consulting role with big‑data technologies.
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Scala, Java, or R.
• Experience with cloud providers AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Spark, Hadoop, Kafka experience.
• SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS data warehousing experience.
• Undergraduate degree or higher in engineering or mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to help customers understand how Databricks can help solve their business problems.
• Provide technical leadership for customers to evaluate and adopt Databricks.
• Consult on big data architecture, execute proofs of concept, and validate integrations with cloud services and other 3rd party applications.
• Build and present reference architectures, how-tos, and demonstrate applications for customers.
• Travel to meet with customers in your territory.
