Job summary

Databricks is seeking Solutions Architects in the United States (New York area) to lead customers through designing architectures on the Databricks Unified Analytics Platform. In this customer-facing role, you will work with customers, product teams, and post-sales to identify use cases, develop architectures using Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and guide implementations to deliver value.

Travel to customers in your region.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
• Proficient in at least one programming language (Python/Scala/Java/SQL/R).
• Hands-on experience with public cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Background with data engineering tech (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) and data warehousing.
• Quantitative degree preferred (CS, mathematics, OR).

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales to show how Databricks can solve business problems.
• Provide technical leadership for customers to evaluate and adopt Databricks.
• Consult on big data architectures and implement proofs of concept.
• Build references architectures, how-tos, and demo apps for customers.
• Promote Databricks open-source projects across developer communities.
• Travel to customers in your region.
