Job summary

Salesforce is seeking aSolution Engineer for the Private Equity & Startups Practice. You will advise top PE firms and portfolio companies on multi‑cloud Salesforce and Agentforce solutions, shaping AI‑driven deal flow, portfolio operations and revenue growth.

You’ll lead executive discovery with senior leaders, tailor demos, and map AI strategy to investment theses while expanding the Salesforce ecosystem across startups and enterprise clients.

Qualifications

• Strong track record in technical pre-sales or solution engineering.
• Business acumen with understanding of how PE firms create value and how startups scale.
• Hands-on curiosity about generative and agentic AI and ability to explain where AI agents create value.
• Confidence and credibility with senior investors, operators, and founders in multi-stakeholder discussions.
• Strong storytelling, demo, and whiteboarding skills.
• Experience with Salesforce, CRM, data platforms, or AI solutions is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Advise on agentic transformation and serve as the primary technical advisor to PE firms and their portfolio companies.
• Lead discovery sessions with Managing Directors, Operating Partners, founders, CFOs, and CIOs linking AI/data strategy to investment theses.
• Design and deliver tailored demos, prototypes, and proofs of concept showing AI agents at work.
• Articulate how Salesforce accelerates revenue growth and operational efficiency across portfolios.
• Collaborate with startup relationships team on account strategy and deal orchestration and bring in specialists when needed.
• Mentor other SEs on PE & Startups narratives, methods, and AI-driven deal approaches.
