Job summary

Akoya is seeking a Solution Architect to serve as the technical bridge between our network and customer implementations. You will lead pre-sales demonstrations, scope integrations, configure authentication/SSO, and troubleshoot API issues for enterprise clients in a highly technical, customer-facing capacity.

The role involves implementing delegated authorization, designing integration approaches, and collaborating with Product/Engineering to improve tooling and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent hands-on professional experience.
• 10+ years in a client-facing role.
• 4–6 years of hands-on technical/design experience.
• Proficiency in Go, with exposure to JavaScript (Node.js), Python, or Java; capable of writing and debugging integration code.
• Deep, hands-on knowledge of RESTful JSON APIs; ability to design, test, and troubleshoot them.
• Hands-on experience implementing delegated authorization (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML) and configuring SSO.
• Strong understanding of networking basics (DNS, proxies, firewalls, load balancers, TLS).
• Excellent communication, capable of switching from technical detail to executive framing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical resource for prospective and new Akoya customers during the sales cycle.
• Deliver technical demonstrations and proofs-of-concept tailored to customer use cases.
• Gather, document, and assess integration requirements with customer engineering teams.
• Build sample code and lightweight integration prototypes to validate feasibility.
• Own the technical onboarding of new customers from contract through go-live; configure and troubleshoot SSO.
• Debug REST/JSON API integration issues using Postman, curl, and dev tools.
• Write and maintain integration guides, runbooks, and technical documentation.
• Run joint testing and troubleshooting sessions with customer teams through go-live.
• Handle escalated technical issues and advocate for customer needs with Product/Engineering.
