Job summary

Clēnera, a Boise-based leader in solar and energy storage development and operations, seeks a Sr. Project Engineer to lead performance analysis, design and due diligence across development, construction, and operation phases.

You will guide engineering teams, review IE reports, manage contracts, and help shape best practices for PV and storage projects nationwide. Hybrid work options available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years in electrical engineering, power industry, or related field with 5+ years in PV or energy storage engineering.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and able to learn company software.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate equipment and design specs for PV/storage projects with suppliers and internal teams.
• Develop and review PV and energy storage production estimates using PV modeling tools and in-house models.
• Lead development of in-house models and set best practices for modeling assumptions and uncertainty.
• Lead Independent Engineer due diligence including contract management and IE reports.
• Provide SME input and shape best practices for Owner Engineering reviews and cross-functional collaboration.
• Maintain current industry knowledge and share insights with leadership.
• Review contracts and assist in technical negotiations for interconnection, procurement, EPC, and O&M.
• Guide conceptual system designs and site layouts for PV and storage projects.
• Develop technical design guidelines and feasibility analyses; discuss with contractors.
• Collaborate across departments and maintain project timelines and deliverables.
