Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
7+ years of experience in electrical engineering or power industry, including 5+ years in PV/energy storage.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to learn company-specific software programs, tools, processes, and machines.
Subject matter expertise in multiple equipment types and associated specs.
Expertise in advanced energy modeling methodologies and complex energy models.
Ability to lead engineering due diligence for financing and independent engineering partners.
Experience leading value engineering and influencing design decisions.
Subject matter expertise in test procedures and EPC agreement results.
Ability to manage complex interpersonal relationships and conflicts.
Ability to anticipate, gather, and understand project requirements.
Skilled in engineering project management and resource allocation.
Ability to explain complex details clearly.
Ability to solve complex problems with attention to detail and organization.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced performance analysis, design expertise, and due diligence support for utility-scale solar and energy storage projects from development to operation.
Act as technical lead for the Engineering team and collaborate with senior leadership.
Evaluate equipment and design specs for suppliers and procurement partners.
Create and review PV and storage production estimates using PVsyst or in-house models.
Lead independent engineer due diligence, including contract management and report reviews.
Guide best practices for model assumptions and uncertainty assessment.
Develop in-house models and drive design alternatives based on risk assessment.
Lead negotiations for Interconnection, EPC, PPA, and O&M contracts.
Shape Owner Engineering review processes and provide SME guidance.
Maintain current industry knowledge and share insights with leadership.
Collaborate across departments and manage project timelines and deliverables.
