Job summary

AES Corporation seeks a Senior Development Engineer to drive solar PV and integrated battery energy storage project development across the US and internationally. The role focuses on qualifying new opportunities, due diligence, and responding to utility and municipal RFPs, coordinating with Business Development, Execution, and Finance teams.

The successful candidate will have deep experience in PV and BESS design and analysis (2 MW to 500 MW), with familiarity in financial metrics for PV systems

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering or equivalent technical field.
• 5+ years of renewable energy project development experience.
• Proficiency with key modeling tools and CAD software.
• Proficiency with MS Office and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Energy production modeling for projects in development (PVSYST, Helioscope).
• Battery dispatch modeling and site evaluation for suitability.
• Support for RFPs, Greenfield development, and 30% design studies.
• Develop technical deliverables and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
