Job summary
AES Corporation is seeking a Senior Development Engineer to drive solar PV and integrated battery energy storage project development across the US and internationally. You will work with a team to qualify opportunities, perform technical due diligence, and respond to RFPs from utilities, municipalities and others for renewable energy procurement.
The role requires deep experience in photovoltaic and battery storage systems, proposal generation, and financial metrics for PV systems and PPAs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent field.
- 5+ years in renewable energy project development, design, analysis and construction.
- Experience with PV and battery storage project modeling tools.
- CAD experience with AutoCAD.
- MS Office and advanced Excel skills.
Responsibilities
- Support business development and pricing for PV and BESS projects.
- Model energy production and battery dispatch.
- Evaluate sites remotely and on-site for project suitability.
- Prepare preliminary plant designs and layouts.
- Assist with RFP responses and external consultants.
- Work with AES DE procurement and growth planning teams.
