Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking a Senior Development Engineer to drive solar PV and integrated battery energy storage projects across the US and internationally. You will qualify opportunities, perform technical due diligence, and respond to RFPs for renewables development.

Role focuses on preliminary design, coordinating with Business Development, Execution, and Finance teams. Travel up to 15% is required.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering or equivalent technical field.
• 5+ years of renewable energy project development, design, analysis and construction.
• Proficiency with common renewable energy system modeling tools (PVSYST, Helioscope, Plant Predict).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office, advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Energy production modeling for projects in development (PVSYST, Helioscope, Plant Predict).
• Battery dispatch modeling in development (Excel, Matlab).
• Site evaluation for project suitability (remote and in person).
• Support for RFPs, Greenfield Development, and Acquisition studies up to 30% design.
