Job summary
AES Corporation is seeking a Senior Development Engineer to drive solar PV and integrated battery storage project development across the US and internationally. You will evaluate opportunities, perform due diligence, respond to RFPs, and coordinate with Business Development, Execution and Finance teams.
The role requires 5+ years in renewable energy project development, proficiency with PVSYST, Helioscope, Plant Predict, and CAD tools.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in renewable energy project development, design, analysis and construction.
- Proficiency with common renewable energy system modeling tools (PVSYST, HOMER, SAM, Helioscope, Plant Predict).
- Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD and advanced Excel skills.
Responsibilities
- Energy production modeling for projects in development (PVSYST, Helioscope, Plant Predict).
- Battery dispatch modeling for projects in development (Excel, Matlab).
- Site evaluation (remote and in-person) for project suitability.
- Project pricing and value engineering with an Estimator.
- Create preliminary plant designs, site layouts, single lines.
- Support for RFPs, Greenfield development, and acquisition studies.
