Job summary

AES Corporation seeks a Senior Development Engineer to drive solar PV and integrated battery storage project development across the US and internationally, increasing our portfolio of owner-operated renewable plants. You will qualify opportunities, perform technical due diligence, and respond to RFPs from utilities and others.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in engineering or equivalent technical field.
5+ years of renewable energy project development, design, analysis and construction.
Proficiency with renewable energy modeling tools (PVSYST, Helioscope, Plant Predict) and CAD (AutoCAD); strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

Perform technical due diligence for project feasibility and scope.
Respond to RFPs from utilities, municipalities and others for renewables.
Prepare preliminary plant designs, site layouts, and single lines.
Coordinate with Business Development, Execution and Finance teams.
