Job summary

DNV Energy Systems’ Renewables and Power Grids group seeks a Senior Solar Energy Analyst to join its Solar Energy Assessments team in North America. You will provide solar resource and energy assessment services for utility-scale, distributed, and commercial solar projects, leveraging data-driven approaches and industry-leading methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering, atmospheric science, mathematics, environmental science, or related quantitative field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience performing a similar role in North America.
• Comprehensive understanding of solar resource assessment principles and solar energy production modeling.
• Experience conducting MCP analyses and understanding solar resource variability.
• Strong statistical data-analysis skills; proficient in Excel, Python, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct long-term solar resource and energy production assessments for various solar project types.
• Analyze operational production data, assess resource variability and system losses, and support energy yield assessments.
• Ensure deliverables meet DNV standards; prepare technical reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Contribute to data-driven culture by improving analytical tools and workflows.
