Job summary

DNV Energy Systems' Renewables and Power Grids group seeks a Senior Solar Energy Analyst to join the Solar Energy Assessments team. You will deliver solar resource and energy production assessments for North American projects, analyze data, and contribute to bankable yield studies.

You will prepare technical reports, validate methodologies, and support tool development while upholding DNV's standards for quality and independence in a data-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Experience with solar resource assessment and energy yield modeling.
• Experience with utility-scale and distributed generation projects.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct long-term solar resource and energy production assessments for utility-scale, distributed generation, commercial & industrial, community solar, residential, and hybrid projects.
• Analyze operational production data from solar plants, evaluate resource variability, and support bankable energy yield assessments.
• Prepare technical reports, collaborate on methodologies, and communicate findings to customers and stakeholders; participate in QA and continuous improvement of methods.
• Contribute to process improvements and development of analytical tools and software workflows.
