Job summary

DNV Energy Systems is seeking a Senior Solar Energy Analyst to join the Solar Energy Assessments team. You will provide solar resource and energy assessment services for projects across North America, applying data-driven methods and state-of-the-art modeling tools.

The role emphasizes high-quality deliverables, collaboration, and continuous improvement of analytical workflows. Preference for candidates located in key North American markets with hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering, atmospheric science, mathematics, environmental science, or related quantitative field.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in solar energy assessments in North America.
• Strong understanding of solar resource assessment principles and modeling.
• Experience with MCP analyses and solar resource variability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct long-term solar resource and energy production assessments for various solar projects.
• Analyze operational production data, evaluate resource variability, and support bankable energy yield assessments.
• Prepare technical reports, validate methodologies, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Contribute to tool development and optimization of analytical workflows.
