Job summary

DNV Energy Systems is seeking a Senior Solar Energy Analyst to join the Renewables and Power Grids team in North America. You will deliver long-term solar resource analyses and energy production modeling for utility-scale and distributed projects, using advanced datasets and MCP methods.

The role emphasizes rigorous technical reporting, client communications, and collaboration with analysts to advance methodologies while supporting hybrid work arrangements across multiple U.S. markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, atmospheric science, mathematics, environmental science or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in solar energy assessments in North America.
• Strong understanding of solar resource assessment, production modeling, and PV system operation.
• Experience with MCP analyses and solar resource variability impacts.
• Proficiency in Excel, Python, and data-analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform long-term solar resource and energy production assessments for diverse project types.
• Analyze plant performance data, resource variability, and model inputs for bankable energy yield assessments.
• Prepare technical reports and communicate findings to customers and stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of analytical methods and tool development.
