Job summary

DNV Energy Systems’ Renewables and Power Grids group is seeking a Senior Solar Energy Analyst to join the Solar Energy Assessments team. You will provide solar resource and energy assessment services for projects across North America.

In this data-driven role, you will develop robust energy yield estimates, quality-assure deliverables, and collaborate with analysts to advance methodologies and tools within a trusted, independent organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, atmospheric science, mathematics, environmental science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of NA experience in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of solar resource assessment, production modeling, and PV system operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform long-term solar resource and energy production assessments for various project types.
• Analyze operational data, evaluate resource variability, and support bankable energy yield assessments.
• Prepare technical reports and communicate findings to customers and stakeholders.
• Contribute to tool development and process improvements within the solar energy assessment team.
