Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Quality Manager for our Solar group. The role requires leading the quality system across a regional portfolio, coordinating with design, supply chain, and field teams to ensure robust quality control and continuous improvement.

This position offers flexible remote work from any home base in the continental US, with travel up to 25–50% and higher during busy periods. Ideal candidates hold a technical civil/construction/architectural engineering degree, 3+ years

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, civil, or architectural engineering or construction management.
• 3+ years leading a quality system in design, engineering, manufacturing, or construction.
• 1–2 years of people management experience.
• Solar/renewables experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Procore, ArcGIS and Build Cognition.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality system for assigned region project portfolio.
• Oversee Project Quality Plan and QA/QC from notice to proceed to acceptance.
• Establish and lead quality initiatives.
• Support supplier and design excellence with cross-functional teams.
• Write and update quality procedures and process maps.
• Review project specifications for quality requirements.
• Manage Quality Incidents, Non-Conformance notices and reporting.
• Coach and mentor Quality Engineers.
