Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join our Solar group, capable of engaging with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment. You will lead the quality system across regional projects, drive Quality Plans, and coordinate with design, procurement, and field teams to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field, 3+ years leading quality systems, and 1–2 years of people management, with strong communication and problem-solving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent field.
• 3+ years' experience in design, engineering, manufacturing, or construction with experience leading a quality system.
• 1–2 years of people management experience.
• Solar or renewables experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead Mortenson's quality system for an assigned region project portfolio.
• Oversee Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Quality Management planning and execution from notice to proceed to final acceptance.
• Oversee the 3-Phase Process, DFW-ITP planning, quality staffing and training.
• Establish and lead quality initiatives.
• Support supplier and design excellence for the Solar group portfolio with design-to-field quality checks.
• Write, review, and update quality procedures and standard work across the portfolio.
• Review project specifications for quality requirements.
• Manage Quality Incidents and Non-Conformance Notices; issue resolution.
• Partner with third-party design and testing agencies and with subcontracts.
• Coach and mentor Quality Engineers; manage career development.
