Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our Solar division. You will support the Project Manager from bid preparation through final client acceptance, while mentoring project team members and collaborating across all levels of the organization.

This 100% travel position requires flexibility, strong communication, and attention to detail as projects vary across the continental United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a construction-related field.
• Minimum five years of related experience.
• Self-perform experience and utility-scale solar exposure preferred.
• Ability to interpret Mortenson policies and drive project success.
• Strong detail orientation and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform cost control and financial management.
• Work with Preconstruction on project estimate and schedule.
• Coordinate scopes of work and lead subcontractor coordination.
• Review pay applications, change requests, and financial docs.
• Draft client proposals and manage contract administration.
