Job summary

NovaSource Power Services is seeking a technician for full-time work at the Irwin, OH site. The role focuses on the maintenance and operation of utility-scale PV power plants, using SCADA to monitor performance and performing commissioning, testing and repairs on AC/DC systems.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in solar O&M, experience with SCADA and electrical controls, and a willingness to supervise field work. A high school diploma is required, with college or technical training preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Utility Solar Operations & Maintenance.
• Experience in operating and maintaining power plant electrical systems, SCADA and controls Systems operation.
• Prior Supervisory experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor PV plant operation through SCADA and perform commissioning, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, repair and modification of AC/DC PV systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on inverters, PV modules, transformers, switchgear and metering systems.
• Coordinate on-site planning, installations, commissioning, quality inspections and performance testing.
