Job summary
NovaSource in Winfield, MO is seeking a Full-Time Technical Technician to oversee maintenance and operation of utility-scale PV plants. You will monitor plant performance via SCADA, conduct commissioning, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of AC/DC systems including inverters, modules, transformers, switchgear, and metering.
The role requires 2+ years in a related position, safety-focused work habits, and the ability to read electrical schematics.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- College or technical degree preferred.
- Equivalent training in military, utility, or power industry a plus.
- 2+ years of related experience or Journey level certification.
- Experience with electrical safety and arc flash standards is desired.
Responsibilities
- Monitor plant operation through SCADA and perform commissioning and testing.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and modify AC/DC solar PV systems.
- Assist in planning on-site projects and quality inspections.
- Ensure documentation, reports, and work orders are complete.
