Job summary

NovaSource Power Services in NC is seeking a Full Time Technical Roper to monitor and maintain utility-scale PV power plants. You will operate SCADA, perform commissioning, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and repairs on AC and DC solar PV systems, inverters, transformers, and metering equipment.

Candidates should have 2+ years in a related field or journeyman cert, a high school diploma, and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, work outdoors, and follow safety standards including LOTO and

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a related maintenance/tech role or journeyman certification.
• Experience operating and maintaining power plant electrical systems, SCADA, and controls.
• Knowledge of local electrical codes and safety standards.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds, climb ladders, and work in outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor PV plant operation via SCADA and perform commissioning, testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repair work on AC/DC PV systems.
• Repair and modify inverters, PV module arrays, transformers, switchgear, and metering equipment.
• Maintain adherence to safety procedures (LOTO, arc flash) and document work orders and procedures.
