Job summary

Origis Energy is seeking a Solar PV & BESS O&M Technician in Wing, AL. The role covers maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of utility-scale solar PV and energy storage systems, with a focus on safety and adherence to procedures.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, monitor performance via SCADA, and maintain detailed CMMS records while coordinating with remote operators to resolve site issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; electrical certifications or industry training preferred.
• Experience in large-scale solar O&M (operations & maintenance).
• Competency in reading electrical schematics, operating SCADA, and using CMMS for maintenance tracking.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on AC and DC systems including inverters, PV modules, transformers, switchgear, and HV components.
• Monitor plant operations through SCADA and contribute to commissioning, testing, and system modifications.
• Follow safety protocols including JHA and LOTO and ensure site procedures compliance.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and support maintenance as required.
• Work with remote operators to identify and resolve site issues efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS.
