Job summary

PEARCE Renewables is seeking an Advanced Solar Field Service Technician (Operations and Maintenance) to perform hands-on maintenance at solar sites near Temple, Texas. You will operate and maintain solar plants per preventative and corrective standards, while upholding safety and professionalism in a local-site role within 50 miles of Temple.

The position requires 2+ years in solar O&M, strong mechanical/electrical skills, and experience with inverters or tracker systems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in Commercial/Industrial O&M on solar power plants preferred.
• Preventative maintenance experience on Solar Utility equipment preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and installation skills.
• Solar experience with Inverters, Tracker Systems, or Sub-Stations Equipment (TMEIC/SMA/Sungrow/Nextracker/ATI, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of Solar Utility and Sub-Station equipment.
• Document work orders, time logs, inventory, and emergency schedules.
• Troubleshoot electrical components with digital meters and testing equipment.
• Test and troubleshoot solar equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Maintain strong safety practices including LOTO and JHA.
