Job summary

Pearce is seeking an Advanced Solar Field Service Technician (Operations and Maintenance) to perform O&M on solar power plants near Milpitas, CA. You will handle preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot electrical systems, and document activities while upholding safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in solar O&M, strong electrical/mechanical skills, and the ability to train others.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in Commercial/Industrial O&M on solar power plants.
• Preventive maintenance experience on solar utility equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with inverters, tracker systems, or sub-stations equipment.
• Ability to train and mentor laborers at site.
• Must live within ~50 miles of Milpitas, CA and follow OSHA safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of Solar Utility and Sub-Station equipment.
• Document work orders, time logs, inventory, and schedules.
• Troubleshoot electrical components using meters and related tools.
• Test and ensure proper operation of solar equipment.
• Follow safety procedures including LOTO and JHA requirements.
• Work solo or in teams and travel up to 25% as needed.
