Job summary

PEARCE Renewables is seeking an Advanced Solar Field Service Technician (Operations and Maintenance) to perform on-site O&M of solar power plants near Bakersfield, California. The role requires handling preventative and corrective maintenance while upholding safety and professionalism on local sites within 50 miles of Bakersfield.

Core experience includes electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, documentation, and the ability to train laborers into Apprentices. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Commercial/Industrial O&M on solar plants preferred.
• Experience with Solar Inverters, Tracker Systems, or Sub-Stations equipment preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on Solar Utility and Sub-Station equipment.
• Document work orders, time logs, inventory, and schedules.
• Troubleshoot electrical components using testing tools.
• Test and verify proper operation of solar equipment.
• Maintain strong safety practices including LOTO and JHA.
