Job summary

Pearce is hiring an Advanced Solar Field Service Technician (Operations and Maintenance) to perform hands-on maintenance at solar sites near San Jose, CA. You will operate and maintain solar plants per established standards while prioritizing safety and professionalism.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of Commercial/Industrial O&M experience on solar sites, with strong mechanical and electrical skills. The role may require travel and lifting up to 50 pounds, and candidates should reside within ~50

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in Commercial/Industrial O&M on solar power plants preferred.
• Preventative maintenance experience on Solar Utility equipment preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting/installation skills.
• Solar experience with inverters, tracker systems, or sub-stations equipment preferred.
• Ability to train and mentor laborers into Apprentices.
• High aptitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of solar equipment and substations.
• Document work orders, time logs, inventory, and schedules.
• Troubleshoot electrical components using meters and tools.
• Test solar equipment and ensure proper operation.
• Maintain safety with LOTO and JHA protocols.
• Travel up to 25% as required.
