Job summary

Pearce Renewables seeks an Advanced Solar Field Service Technician (Operations and Maintenance) to perform hands-on maintenance at solar sites near San Jose, CA. You will ensure safe, reliable operation of solar plants and support a team across multiple sites within a 50-mile radius.

Responsibilities include preventative and corrective maintenance, equipment testing, and detailed documentation, with emphasis on safety and adherence to LOTO/JHA procedures. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Commercial/Industrial O&M experience on solar power plants preferred.
• Preventative maintenance experience on solar utility equipment preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting/installation skills required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of Solar Utility and Sub-Station equipment.
• Document work orders, time logs, inventory control, and emergency schedules.
• Troubleshoot electrical components with meters and testing tools.
• Test and troubleshoot installed solar equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Maintain safety with Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
• Operate a company vehicle safely and in accordance with handbook.
