Job summary

Pearce Renewables is seeking an Advanced Solar Field Service Technician (Operations and Maintenance) to perform on-site maintenance at solar plants near New York, NY. Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance of solar equipment and documentation of work orders, time logs, and safety procedures.

Candidates should have 2+ years in commercial/industrial O&M for solar plants, strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to train others.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of O&M experience on solar power plants.
• Experience with Solar Utility equipment is preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Inverters/Tracker Systems/Sub-Stations Equipment (TMEIC/SMA/Sungrow/Nextracker/ATI) is preferred.
• Ability to train and mentor laborers.
• High aptitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of Solar Utility and Sub-Stations equipment.
• Document work orders, time logs, inventory control, and emergency information schedules.
• Troubleshoot electrical components with meters and testing tools.
• Test solar equipment and ensure proper working order.
• Maintain safety standards including LOTO and JHA.
• Work solo or in a group environment.
• Operate and maintain a company vehicle safely.
