Job summary

New Energy Equity is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to act as the regional technical authority for solar assets in the Las Cruces area. You will lead complex maintenance, coordinate permitting, and train junior personnel while ensuring safety and compliance across sites.

The role requires a NM electrical license, 5+ years of senior field experience, and the ability to work on medium-voltage PV installations. A company truck and tools are provided along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active NM electrical license required.
• 5+ years of senior-level field experience in solar PV or related electrical work.
• Medium-voltage experience (34.5kV) and strong safety judgment.
• Ability to read, interpret, and redline electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Safety and compliance: ensure AHJ and safety standards across region.
• Advanced technical operations: perform complex preventative/corrective maintenance and QA audits for solar systems.
• Regional leadership and vendor management: supervise field work and mentor technicians; manage vendor relationships.
• Documentation and process improvement: provide feedback on training, SOPs, and commissioning processes.
